As the new year begins, Changzhou Weiyuan Medical Devices Co., Ltd. continues to prioritize safety. To enhance employees’ safety awareness and operational standards, the company recently held a safety training program under the theme “Safety First, Prevention Foremost,” with over a hundred participants including department heads, team leaders, safety officers, and external project managers.
As a professional medical device company, we recognize that safety management is crucial in research, production, and device use. Our high-value, precision-engineered products—including endoscopic staplers, laparoscopic instruments, and LigaSure machines—require careful handling and storage. Safety protects employees, ensures product quality, and safeguards patients. By integrating safety education into daily practice, employees can identify hazards and prevent accidents caused by negligence or lack of awareness.
The training focused on fire prevention, electrical safety, and hazardous chemical management. Employees learned proper device power management, circuit maintenance, emergency shutdown procedures, and safe handling and storage of chemical reagents, minimizing risks of fires, leaks, or poisoning through demonstrations and case studies.
A practical session featured a Red Cross instructor demonstrating cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a mannequin. The complete process—assessing the environment, checking consciousness, calling for help, performing chest compressions, opening the airway, and giving rescue breaths—was clearly demonstrated. Emphasis was placed on interlocked hands, straight arms, compression rate of 100–120 per minute, and proper depth. Employees practiced repeatedly, progressing from unfamiliarity to confidence, and internalized the responsibility behind “every compression is a relay in the race for life.”
This training reinforced that safety is both a regulatory requirement and a corporate responsibility. Changzhou Weiyuan Medical will continue strengthening safety management, embedding preventive measures into daily operations, and ensuring research, production, and export of medical devices occur in a secure, reliable environment.
